Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group With Confirmed Autism Now On Par With Mainstream Peers

In the article, Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group With Confirmed Autism Now On Par With Mainstream Peers, formerly diagnosed children born with autism have been see to lose the disease as they grow older. Many scientists around the world who have been experimenting with the disease for years have confirmed the study.
Scientists have researched and come to this conclusion after carefully documenting a prior diagnosis in a small group of young children and young adults with no current symptoms of the disorder.
Scientists are continuing to analyze data on changes in brain function in these children and whether they have subtle residual social deficits. They are also reviewing records on the types of interventions the children received, and to what extent they may have played a role in the transition.
I found this article very interesting because we have just finished studying multiple disorders in class and to find this new information is quite amazing. Also one of my youngest cousins was diagnosed at birth with autism and I hope that he is one of these individuals who can overcome it overtime.

  1. Jack did a great job on his review of the article “Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group with Confirmed Autism Now on Par with Mainstream Peers.” One thing he did well, was choose a topic that we had just finished studying in class. It is always good to connect things back to what you already know. Another thing Jack did well, was he gave enough facts about his article, without dragging on. He gave just enough info for the reader to completely understand the topic. A third thing Jack did well, was give his own personal story at the end about one of his younger cousins being diagnosed with autism. Although his review was good, there are a few things he could to make it better. First, he could have given some statistics about how many people lose their diagnosis of autism. Second, Jack could have given the opinion of a few scientists, as to how these people are losing their diagnosis. One thing I never knew before reading this review, was that people could actually lose disorders. I thought once you were diagnosed with a disorder like autism, you had it for the rest of your life.

  2. My fellow classmate, Jack Redpath, did a great job reviewing the article, “Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group With Confirmed Autism Now On Par With Mainstream Peers.” This article speaks of the uncommon loss of Autism with age. Three aspects of this review that Jack did very well were his use of straight facts from the original article. Jack also had a great overall understanding of his topic and this was easily shown throughout his review. Another thing that I thought was really good in this review was the fact that we had just discussed this topic and its causes in class. This made it very easy for the readers in our class to follow the meaning and subject. There were also a few things that Jack definitely could have done better to improve this review. Jack could have quoted the original article at least once to connect the review to the article and the scientists that have been studying this subject. Jack also could have given actual numbers and other specific things given by the author of the article or by the scientists that study autism. My favorite part of this review was the overall subject and just the fact that there might be a possible cure or way to grow out of autism, a disease that effects many people all around the world.

  3. Jack did a very good job reviewing the article “Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group With Confirmed Autism Now On Par With Mainstream Peers”. He did an excellent job of giving a short review where a reader can easily read it and not lose interest because of the length. He also did a good job of giving the reader only the essential facts, but still making them want to read the actual article. He also did a very good job of relating this article to himself, and he made the topic seem very interesting.
Although his review was good overall, there are a couple things that he did not do too well. First, I thought he could have put more detail into explaining exactly what the scientists were doing to examine this phenomenon. I thought it also would have been helpful if he could have defined a couple terms, such as “subtle residual social deficits”.
There were a couple of very interesting things that I learned from this review of this article and the article itself. The most surprising of these things is that Autism can actually be overcome as a person grows older.

  4. vMy pier Jack Redpath wrote a great review on the article “Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis” Jack did a fantastic job with the review and I enjoyed it a lot. There were three things that really stood out to me when reading this review. First I love the way Jack was able to put his own voice in the review, and make it his own. Another aspect of the review I liked was the way he provided his own connection to the topic he was discussing. The last thing that really stood out to me was how he was able to condense his summary to make it easier to understand. There were a couple of things I thought Jack could have done to improve the review a little bit more. First off I thought he could have possibly provided more details from the article. I also thought he could have included a quote or two from the actual article. One thing I learned from this review is how scientists are starting to find that some los Autism as they grow older. I had never heard anything about that and it really interesting. All and all I thought Jack did a great job in writing his review.

  5. I read Jack’s response to the article, “Some children lost autism diagnosis: small group with confirmed autism now on par with mainstream peers”. This article was about autistic children and how scientists were able to hold studies that can prove that autism can be fixed over time. He did many things well such as the length and quality of the review. There was no part where Jack took parts from the article and put them in without knowing what they were. The whole thing made sense and it wasn’t too long which made it more interesting. Another thing he did well was that he connected this new discovery to his own life. He told us that his cousin was diagnosed with autism and hopes it gets better overtime. The last thing that was done well was the use of facts.
The article review was good however it could have been improved. First off the article was about 2 pages and had more information that could have been included. Another thing that could have been better is including some more facts and being more specific percentages for which autistic people are able to get away from autism.
I was very impressed with this article. I really think that it does have an effect on the world and how it was related to our class. I really got engaged while reading it and was definitely worthwhile.

  6. My classmate, Jack Redpath, wrote a great review on the article “Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group with Confirmed Autism Now on Par with Mainstream Peers.” The subject of this article is that autism is disappearing in some kids over time. One thing that Jack did really well was connecting this discovery to his personal life. Another thing that Jack did exceptionally well was his summary because it provided only the essential facts and was easy to understand. Finally, I really liked the topic choice that jack picked as it is fun to learn more about a topic that we have already studied.
Although Jack's review was good, there are a few things he could do to improve his review next time. First off, Jack did a great job on the analysis but did not provide enough detailed or statistical facts. Second, Jack should add a quote from the scientists so the reader can learn the scientists prospective on the topic.
Autism is one of the most common disease that is really hard for the person and their family members. It must be inspiring to everyone who knows an autistic person because of the possible that they can get rid of autism.

  8. The Jack Redpath wrote an insightful review on, "Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group With Confirmed Autism Now On Par With Mainstream Peers." Through this review, light is shed on the generally unknown topic of autism development. I feel the writing style is clear, easy to follow, and understandable. The content was basic and provided the reader with a simple understanding of the information. Also the author connected the article to his own life. This section makes the review feel more personal. Overall the article used correct grammar, but I did find a few spelling errors and spacing issues. Also the facts from the article were very general. The review used little specific statistics and did not include many names of people who are aiding in the study of the topic. I was shocked when I read that previously diagnosed autism patients could have a chance to make a recovery. This is so amazing because I am overwelled with the joy of thinking about people who could have their lives changed through recovery. This review was done well and is very engaging to read and enjoy.

  9. Jack did a really good job on his review on the autism article. I'm glad Jack connected this to a personal level as he stated he has a cousin wrung autism. Another thing he did well summarizing the content of the article as well. Lastly, he expanded on what he learned in class that Day.

However, he could have done a better job explaining the specific experiments or stating the stastic that was used to test the theory been stated. Also he could have elaborated a little more on the info that was n article.

Overall, it was a good article. I think this is encouraging for austics and their families as they have a light of the end of the tunnel and there is a cure.

  10. Jack did a really good job writing his review of the article, "Some Children Lose Autism Diagnosis: Small Group With Confirmed Autism Now On Par With Mainstream Peers." This article is about how autism can disappear in people over time. First of all, the topic of Autism is interesting to me so I was looking forward to reading this review. He did a great job with explaining how the scientists reached their conclusion and how the study was being conducted. Also, I like the fact that he included what the scientists were recording in their data. In addition, I like the fact that he wrote his review short and concisely but still kept me wanting to know more.
As much as this is an informative article, there were a few flaws. Jack could have explained the research process much better. For example, he could have given us information on where this study was specifically being done or what type of scientists it was being conducted by. In addition, he could have given us statistics of how many people lose autism over time because then, I could get a better perspective of this study and if the conclusion is valid.
Overall, it is great that somebody cares about this disease and to provide us with astonishing information in relation to the topic! Before reading this article, I did not know that as you grow older, it is possible to lose this diagnosis. From this review, it is evident that studies like this can have a tremendous positive impact on many people! Overall, I enjoyed this informative review and due to this, I want more studies like this done in the near future.

  11. Jack did a good job reviewing the article, "Some children lose autism diagnosis: Small group with confirmed autism now on par with mainstream peers." Jack summarized the article well, providing the basic details needed to fully understand the general point of it. The way he lay out his review is also very easy to follow, and allows for flow between paragraphs. Finally, he connected the topic to what he was learning in school, and to his own life. This makes the article seem more personal and relatable.
However, there are a few things Jack could do to improve this review. To make it less broad, Jack could add specific details, such as statistics, given in the article by scientists to help back up his point. In addition, he could add some quotes from the scientists, in order to show their particular point of view. This might make it easier for the reader to understand the importance of the article and the research it shows.
Overall, I thought this review was well written and informative. I had no idea that after being diagnosed with Autism, it is possible to lose the diagnosis. This is great news for so many people around the world! Hopefully scientists will be able to find even more information on this topic.
